Lamborghini Murcielago
1st August 2007
Well what can I say, the most amazing car I have detailed, a Lamborghini Murcielago in Arancio Atlas.
The car is just stunning. It’s a petrolheads vision of automotive exuberance, extreme in everything it does.

The video is available below the picture. Take some time to watch it as you will see the finished result, hear the car and see some of the processes employed to get the detailfinish.
The interior was done first. The lovely leather did have some grime in it, so it was out with the Gliptone Liquid Leather. This is one of my favourite parts of a detail as the matt and soft finish it provides always surprises customers.
Exterior
It was then time to start on the exterior of the car.
The safest wheel cleaner available is P21S Wheel Cleaner, it costs more than most, its PH control brings the most effective cleaning with zero risk to the wheel surface. Wheel brushes, supplied by the Polishing Company, they create stunning results, I believe a good detail can really be let down by poor wheel detailing.
The car is then prewashed with a Citrus pre-wash to gently remove dirt, traffic grime and any previously applied products. The car is then washed with a lambswool washmitt and then finally cleansed using detailing clay.
Paint correction
Once thoroughly cleansed the car is then prepared for machine polishing. All rubber and plastics are protected using specialist masking tape. Then specialist polishes are used to remove all swirls and scratches from the paintwork. This process will take between 2 to 4 hours.
The video shows the paint correction process. Press the play icon in the bottom left corner.
Finishing
Once the machine polishing is completed, the paintwork was then cleaned with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid and sealed with Swissvax Divine.
Divine is Swissvax's Premier wax. The depth of finish is incredible and the durability of the finish has to be experienced to be believed. Retailing at £1,280 per 200ml tub without a lifetime refill it is the most expensive wax in the world. More information on Swissvax's products can be found at Swissvax.com.
The application and removal of the wax can be viewed on this video. Press the play button at the bottom left of the window.
The pictures of the finished car follow.
I hope you enjoyed the detail.
